Karla Jean Bacayan


With over 5 years of experience as a business immigration attorney, Karla advises clients on immigration considerations for potential new hires and handles a variety of employment-based petitions and applications, including L-1, E-3, O-1, H-1B and TN visas, PERM applications, and EB-1 petitions. She has on-site experience with a high-volume client assisting with their internal immigration program, including providing I-9 guidance, training, and one-on-one employee consultations to HR professionals, recruiters, managers, and foreign nationals. Karla works with a wide range of clients, helping build sustainable immigration programs for smaller clients and optimizing immigration programs for her larger clients.

While attending law school, Karla spent two years as a Law Clerk for a general practice firm, handling labor/employment, immigration, and trust/estate matters. Before joining Pearl, Karla worked for one of the largest global immigration law firms handling high-volume accounts.

Connection to Immigration

My mom left the Philippines and came to the U.S. as a nurse on an H-1B visa in the early ‘80’s. Through her employer, she was able to petition my dad to join her and fulfill her dream of raising her family in the U.S.
